Grand Valley Rose Society Rose Show was an opportunity The GVRS Rose Show is the earliest
of the rose shows in Colorado. This ARS judges and rosarians, Earl and Leola Bott, came to Grand Junction from Bountiful, Utah, and the Utah Rose Society, to serve as our judges. Inspired by our informality, Earl and Leola were more than just judges - they were teachers and guides. All the attendees learned a great deal about the ins and outs of successful presentation and we look forward to having them return next year. The 2003 Rose Show winners were as follows: Hybrid Teas. Each year rose growers and lovers show their roses and enjoy the sensory overload of a room full of gorgeous, fragrant roses. Even if you’ve never shown a rose before, you are are invited to participate next year. Most of us are new at this too - remember, the GVRS is just a bud! There is a minimal fee for exhibitors; free admission to the public. Qualified judges from the American Rose Society award the ribbons. Check out RoseShow.com - Bob Martin's site on how to exhibit roses. Bob is editor of the American Rose Society Publication "Rose Exhibitors Forum."
